Meet our Charities



Birchfield Community Association
Birchfield Community Association (Birchfield Big Local) is a resident-led organisation and registered. The organisation provides a range of activities across the week including arts and crafts activities for young people with learning disabilities (in partnership with ATHAC CIC), IT and English Classes (with Birmingham Adult Education Service), a Seniors group and Women’s group, and a Job Club (in partnership with New Beginnings Creative CIC). The organisation is also part of B-CAN – Energy – a collaboration between five organisations in North Birmingham providing advice and support to households on energy saving measures and reducing utility bills, and also FLOURISH – a collaborative of organisations in West Birmingham working to improve health and wellbeing.

Peacemakers
Peacemakers is a small charity with nearly 40 years’ experience dedicated to sharing skills and strategies to grow peace in schools and communities. Our mission is to share skills and strategies to build everyday peace. Our aims are the development of a peaceful ethos in schools and the development of attitudes and behaviours that support peace in children/young people and the adults who work with them. We specifically work to equip young people with the skills and knowledge to peacefully resolve conflicts, fostering a culture of belonging and respect in schools.

BOFA Inspire
We are a not-for-profit organisation, focused on community engagement and skills development, based at Bethel United Church in Small Heath. We work with children, young people, the elderly, families, and communities who may be socially, economically, or culturally disadvantaged, living in multiple deprivations, in inner city areas of Birmingham. Our focus is to re-connect disadvantaged communities across generations. build resilience and skills to realise their full potential and create an equal / level playing field for all communities, as active citizens of Birmingham. By investing in our children, young people, families and the elderly we encourage those most marginalised and excluded communities to have a strong voice, make informed career pathway choices, adopt healthy lifestyles and participate fully within their local communities.

Transformation Partnership
Transformation Partnership is a collective of schools, academy trusts and cultural organisations working in collaboration to transform the life chances of children and young peoples throughout the West Midlands. We have a strategic focus on working with schools in areas of the highest deprivation and socio-economic disadvantage to bring exceptional quality provision and experiences to the communities that are furthest from them.

Carrs Lane Counselling Centre
We are a counselling centre in the heart of Birmingham. We are dedicated to providing a low cost first class face to face counselling service for adults from Birmingham and the surrounding area, who can travel to meet a counsellor here. We are also able to provide a telephone and video counselling service. Through counselling, we can assist you with a range of issues, and have been helping in this way for over 50 years.

St Margaret’s Community Trust
The aim of St Margaret’s Community Trust and the Unity Hubb is to create conversation and connection between local people. We facilitate local people to drive positive change and build a strong, resilient community that works together and welcomes others. We strive to inspire creativity, generosity, and leadership among people locally and to create a space that is safe and inclusive and where everyone feels like family. Local people are the agents of change – our role is to help them take control and build the positive community they want to be part of. The Unity Hubb at St Margaret’s Church encourages connection, creativity and growth, where everyone is welcome, no matter their faith or beliefs. It is a place for the community and is led by what local people want and need.

Innercity Life
Inner City Life is a charity based in the United Kingdom that is working to enrich the lives of vulnerable people living in the West Midlands through mental, physical and faith based interventions that aim to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of our target beneficiaries living in the West Midlands. Our programs are built on the principles of catalytic partnership and a rights-based approach. The charity promotes 3 key thematic areas which include Public & Personal Health, Socio-Economic Empowerment, and Human & Environmental Rights. The Mission of Inner City Life is to contribute to improving the well being and quality of life of individuals and communities through mental health and food security interventions.

Martineau Gardens
We run a Therapeutic Horticulture programme for volunteers (many of who have mental health issues and learning disabilities); provide education sessions for Birmingham school children on science, nature and other topics; grow organic produce and inspire others to grow too; conserve a wildlife habitat in our SLINC status woodland and look after the beautiful landscape here to provide a tranquil place for Birmingham people to visit.

Karis Neighbour Scheme
We want to see hope and wholeness brought to people's lives in Ladywood, North Edgbaston and Harborne, contributing to communities that are thriving and full of life. Our Mission Karis Neighbour Scheme is a Christian charity in Birmingham that exists to: Provide support to people in our community who are in need by offering a broad range of help including practical and emotional support, advocacy and befriending Bring people in our community together by reaching out, offering friendship, providing opportunity to get to know one another, and enabling people to be good neighbours to help others flourish Ensure no one is neglected or forgotten about by standing with people, helping them find the support they need, and responding to gaps in provision locally Work with other groups and organisations in our community and across the city to strengthen networks of support which contribute to seeing lives and communities changed for the better

NICE - Centre for Movement Disorders
We believe that every person with a movement disorder has both the potential and the right to specialised services which recognise their needs, desires and wishes. We provide services and training in the field of Conductive Education. Based in Moseley, Birmingham we work with children and adults with movement disorders such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, MS and stroke from across the West Midlands and Nationwide.

Beyond the Horizon
We help children, young people and families who have been affected by bereavement, divorce, separation, and domestic abuse. If you have faced any of these difficulties we can help you work through your challenges to achieve emotional wellbeing and hope for the future. Our therapists support children and young people to come to terms with the losses and changes in their lives.

Moseley in Bloom
Moseley in Bloom is a charitable organisation that aims to make Moseley a greener, cleaner and even more attractive place to live. It functions as a community action group, made up of volunteers and entirely dependent on fundraising and charitable donations from local residents and businesses to carry out its work.
